Ruixuan Wang
I am currently a MRes Brain Science student at UCL with a comprehensive biology background. I have completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Liverpool. My research interests focus on uncovering the neural mechanisms behind behavior, specifically within the realm of sensory information processing.
In the Visual Plasticity Lab, I am training in advanced two-photon microscopy to monitor and analyze the activity of single neurons in the V1 cortex of mice. By presenting visual stimuli and applying optogenetic manipulations, we aim to map out how these neurons respond to specific features of visual input, and how the optogenetic manipulation influence their tuning properties. Ultimately, my goal is to contribute to a more nuanced understanding of the neural circuitry that drives visual perception. ruixuan.wang.24@ucl.ac.uk |
