Isabelle Garnreiter

I am a first-year PhD student, currently doing a rotation with Dr. Jennifer Sun and Prof. Marinko Sarunic. Our project lies at the interface between optics and neuroscience, as we are implementing adaptive optics to in-vivo imaging of the cortical column using a 2-photon microscopy. Within neuroscience, I am most interested in neuronal computations from dendrites to short neural networks. I hope that this project will help shape how we understand inter-layer communication in the cortex and elucidate neuronal signal integration, especially in the L5B neuron.
